Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne has been linked with a move away from Serie A several times in the last few seasons. The Italian international is regarded as a top class talent and the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in his services.

Apparently, the Italian winger is ready to commit his long-term future to Napoli but is holding out for a salary of 5 million Euros per season. The club President Aurelio De Laurentiis is not ready to give into the player’s demands and is willing to sanction a sale if it comes to that.

Latest rumours claim that Napoli have already set a price of 50 million Euros for the top class winger and Liverpool are ready to meet that valuation. There is no mention of a possible bid, but the Reds are apparently ready to pay big money for Insigne. Whether that will be in January or next summer, remains to be seen.

Insigne would be a quality signing for Liverpool, but they already have the likes of Mane and Coutinho. Unless one of them is sold, Klopp will not be able to fit Insigne into his side. The Italian would fit in better at Tottenham. The Londoners have often used Eriksen out wide and could use Insigne as their left winger.

This transfer looks highly unlikely. Despite his obvious talent, there are better players out there for that kind of money and managers like Pochettino and Klopp are likely to steer clear of Insigne anyway. The Italian attacker has been criticised for his poor attitude in the past.

The 25-year-old attacker has made 11 appearances for Napoli this season and is yet to score a single goal. Insigne has 3 assists to his name.
