Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has been linked with a move away from Italy this summer and the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been linked with the prolific Argentine.
Higuain has been sensational for Napoli ever since he made the switch from Real Madrid and has scored 91 goals for the Italian side in the last 3 seasons.
The English media reported earlier this summer that Higuain wants a change of scenery this summer and is keen on a move to Liverpool. Apparently the player wants to play under Jurgen Klopp and is willing to snub Manchester United.
Now the Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been pictured with the player’s brother and agent, Nicolas Higuain.
It could be that the Liverpool manager was simply attending Argentina’s game against Chile as a spectator. His side’s pre-season tour of America is set to begin next month and he could well be there for preparations.
Also, Liverpool are unlikely to pay the ridiculous asking price for the Argentine. Napoli value him at around 70 million pounds. Although Liverpool have considerable resources, this is clearly beyond them. If they do shell out that fee for Higuain it would be a club record signing.
As things stand, Higuain to Liverpool seems extremely unlikely, unless the Reds sell one of their key players. Coutinho has been linked with a move to PSG.
