It’s been all quite today at Merseyside. It’s the transfer deadline day but neither Liverpool nor Everton are expected to remain busy today.
Earlier today the Reds have been linked with Barcelona goal keeper Victor Valdes, with reliable journalist Tony Barrett confirming via twitter that although Liverpool retain an interest in him, but are prepared to wait until the autumn in order for the free agent to prove his fitness.
Having already signed nine players this summer, it was expected that Liverpool had completed their businesses, with Brendan Rodgers insisted before the Tottenham match in the presser that he doesn’t expect any new player coming in but few players could leave the club, either on loan or permanently.
And one of them is Hungarian forward Krisztian Adorjan. The 21-year-old graduated from the club’s youth academy, where he was seen as a bright young talent, but his progress hasn’t been satisfactory as expected.
Last season he spent on loan Eredivise club Groningen and now it seems like his career at Liverpool is completely over. Reliable Italian journalist GDM claim that a deal has been struck with Serie B club Novara, where he will be sold permanently. The youngster is expected to be in Italy today where he will sign a three-year-contract.
