Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and we covered reports earlier that Everton are keen on signing the French defender.
The 26-year-old centre-back has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea and needs to leave to play regular first-team football.
Zouma is a talented defender but he has not been able to live up to the expectations at Chelsea because of his injury problems.
It is evident that the Frenchman needs a fresh start this summer and must join a club where he can regain his sharpness and confidence with consistent game time.
He is unlikely to start ahead of Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva and a move away from Chelsea would be in his best interests.
The player has previously been on loan at Everton and it is no surprise that the Toffees are looking to bring him back to Goodison Park this summer.
Everton are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements and Zouma could prove to be a quality long-term partner for Ben Godfrey.
Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Frenchman as they strive to improve their defensive options.
Some Everton fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Zouma’s potential return – here is what they had to say.
