Andre Schurrle scored his first hat-trick for Chelsea, as the Blues earned a convincing 3-1 victory over derby rivals Fulham at the Craven Cottage in the Premier League.
The Blues, with that victory, have consolidated the top position in the Premier League and moved four points ahead of Liverpool (who won against Southampton) and Arsenal (lost against Stoke City).
Chelsea were pretty ordinary in the first half as it ended 0-0 at the break. In the second half, the Blues stepped up their gear a bit and tore asunder Fulham to shreds, with Eden Hazard producing yet another scintillating performance.
What was best about Schurrle’s goals was his brilliant positional sense and nature of finish. No wonder, why Mourinho praised him as “cold blood” after the match.
Schurrle has featured most of the times from the bench this season but with this performance, he has returned into the good books of his manager again.
We take a look at some of the tweets from the fans reacting about Schurrle’s performance yesterday.
Schurrle could always be an option in a false 9 or as a striker if he takes his chances.

Schurrle should be our striker.

Schurrle fantastic player, Chelsea take him for granted. Played 8 full games worth this season. I’d start him instead of Willian personally.

I think Schurrle got on Mourinho’s good books again and will start more games. Deserves a run.
