The 28-year-old wide forward has signed a four-year contract with the Hammers. According to reports from Sky Sports, the Premier League club agreed a £17.5m deal with Dortmund earlier this week.
Yarmolenko then underwent a medical at West Ham’s training camp in Switzerland earlier this week before completing the move.
He becomes Manuel Pellegrini’s fifth signing since taking over as West Ham manager.
The club have recruited Jack Wilshere (free), Ryan Fredericks (free), Lukasz Fabianski (£7m, Swansea) and Issa Diop (£22m, Toulouse) already.
Yarmolenko is a versatile forward who is a proven goalscorer. He would add great quality and depth to the Hammers squad.
West Ham fans took to Twitter to respond to his message and they have given him a warm welcome.
