Rangers, West Ham United and Manchester United will miss out on Adrian Akande, according to All Nigeria Soccer.
It has been reported that the 16-year-old has signed a scholarship deal with Swansea City.
The winger trained with Manchester United, Rangers, West Ham and Hoffenheim, but he has decided not to move to these clubs as he aims to make his professional debut within two years, according to the report.
All Nigeria Soccer has reported that Akande’s scholarship deal with take effect from July 1, 2020, and that the agreement will be made professional from October 22 when he turns 17 and will see him stay at Swansea until the summer of 2023.
One for the future
Akande may not have been given a scholarship deal by Chelsea, as reported by All Nigeria Soccer, but there is no doubt that the Nigerian winger is hugely talented and has a bright future ahead.
The teenager seems very ambitious, and perhaps if he plays well for the Swansea youth team and progresses, then he will make his debut for the Welsh club’s senior side in the next two years.
Swansea are playing in the Championship at the moment, but they aim to be in the Premier League soon.
