Kevin Strootman’s agent has confirmed that his client his happy at Roma and has an intention to stay here for a long time.
Yesterday, we reported that Manchester United manager David Moyes has targeted Strootman to lead his midfield. United were linked with him heavily in the past before his £17m switch to Roma last summer.
Former PSV manager, Dick Advocaat, who groomed Strootman commented earlier that Old Trafford could be a likely destination for the midfielder and that a move in future is inevitable.
It was also reported that United coach, Phil Neville has made a personal check on Strootman in Holland’s recent international friendly with Colombia and that the Red Devils are plotting a £30m audacious swoop.
Strootman’s agent, Chiel Dekker, says the midfielder is not thinking about leaving Roma at the moment as he is happy with the project at the Italian club.
“Kevin is very happy in Rome and his intention is to stay here for a long time,” Dekker told Sky Sports. “They have started a project and a new team and he has adapted well to his new club.”
Strootman has impressed at Roma since he joined in the summer helping Giallorossi to secure the second spot in Serie A.
