PSG talent, Lucas Moura may well be a January target for Liverpool, if the latest reports are to be believed.
According to talkSPORT, the Anfield outfit are ready to make a loan move for the 21-year-old Brazilian, with the player currently struggled this season in competition with the likes of Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who has a preference for free-flowing, attacking lineups, could well be looking to add to his embarrassment of riches come January; with Serie A duo, Juventus and Inter Milan also in the hunt for the attacker.
The former Sao Paulo winger, Lucas (Liverpool were interested in him in the past), has only started half of all games for PSG this season; and a short-term deal on loan could benefit the 21-year-old, as he continues to grow into the game.
But PSG have bluntly denied any possibility of the youngster leaving the club this winter; as the Parisian side’s general manager, Jean-Claude Blanc told Italian website, ‘TMW’,
“I can only tell you that he will not leave PSG (on loan), ”
Having paid a reported €45m for the Brazilian only last year, the French champions would be loath to lose him, even on loan. He is still a fantastic prospect; and would certainly light up a freezing Merseyside if Liverpool could pull of such a move.
As yet, we cannot give much credence to the rumour; but we will keep a close eye on proceedings as we approach January.
