One of the key decisions Louis van Gaal (should he stay beyond the summer) needs to make in the summer is whether to hand Radamel Falcao a permanent contract at Manchester United.
The Colombian striker, who reportedly earns £265,000-a-week, joined on loan in summer from Monaco and so far has struggled to make an impact.
The 29-year-old hasn’t quite found his footing in Louis van Gaal’s system, and has scored only four goals for the Red Devils so far.
His agent Jorge Mendes said recently that should Falcao leaves Manchester United, he should not have any difficulty in joining any other top club.
“If Falcao does not stay in Manchester, go to one of the best clubs in the world” said Mendes.
He was linked with Real Madrid in the past, but do the Los Blancos still hold an interest in him is unknown.
According to reports, Valencia’s owner and business tycoon Peter Lim is looking to invest heavily in the squad next summer and may try to sign Falcao.
Lim would try to sign on a season long loan with a view to make the deal permanent. Mendes holds a good relationship with Lim which could be crucial for Falcao’s exit in the summer.
