Transfer stories are often tedious, bordering on boredom, because it is damn repetitive. The same thing is regurgitated, here and there, in bits and pieces, and sometimes very little to add on even after weeks. Therefore, I have decided to keep this blog – short and simple. The reason being, I have already written couple of articles on this fella last week, and I don’t want to repeat the same thing, because, nothing to explain here. It is as clear as daylight.
Frankly, who doesn’t know that Mohamed Salah is not playing regularly at Chelsea? Or he might move elsewhere to get regular games? This is pure common sense.
Just a quick recap: Till last week, the situation was – Jose Mourinho said in the press conference that he doesn’t expect any player to arrive or any one to leave with an added caveat (some what cliche), “the market is open and you never know”.
Of course we know Jose! Are we bloody fool to understand that you precisely meant any transfer in January – be it player coming or leaving – is highly on the cards? We are not dumb models! We’re football fans!
Also, we reported that Serie A giants Roma are looking to sign him on loan, with a view to make the deal permanent. Fair enough.
Latest news: I took off on Sunday and spent the entire day away from football. Today morning, I checked The Times and found this by Gary Jacob – “Roma have cooled interest in Mohamed Salah after Chelsea insisted on selling him for £14 million, rather than permitting a loan.”
Selling a player on £14m who has played 30 minutes of Premier League action all season? OK, go on transfer window. Amaze me with BS daily drudgery!
Italian media TMW, who cover lots of transfer stories in a day from various parts of the world, pretty reliable especially when it comes to Italian players/linked with Italian clubs, (but often come with reports like Arsenal rejected move for Adnan Januzaj) claim today that Istanbul outfit Besiktas are keeping a close eye on him. The chairman of the club, Fikret Orman, is in London, possibly to secure a move for him. TMW adds that the negotiations are going on at an advanced stage!
“I was in England to speak with Chelsea, but it would be wrong to explain who was the subject of negotiation. The contacts are ongoing, if I said who it was I could only complicate the transfer,” he said.
Quick note to Salah: Hope you have lived your life in London, won trophies there, become a world class player, got games that Mourinho promised you to give & all that – in return if you ever get free time, while drinking coffee in Istanbul after a long hard training, think, just think for once – you could have done lot more had you packed your bags to catch flight to Merseyside last January! You took a wrong decision. And deep inside, I am sure you believe that too.
Chelsea fans, please don’t take it personally. You guys are in good mood today. City defeated. Five points clear at top of the table. La La La La la. So, don’t bothered to be arsed with my little pinch, will you?
