Ralf Rangnick reportedly wants to sign Timo Werner who is currently on the books of Chelsea.
Manchester United appointed the 63-year-old as interim manager last month following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, he couldn’t manage the Red Devils on Sunday against Chelsea as he has yet to be granted a work visa.
And as per the Guardian, the German boss will also not be able to take charge in the upcoming game against Arsenal due to the same reason.
However, he is still plotting transfer moves for the Manchester giants.
According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, Rangnick wants to bring Timo Werner to the Theatre of Dreams in the summer transfer window.
He signed the 25-year-old for RB Leipzig in 2016 when he was at the helm of affairs at the Red Bull Arena.
Werner is an academy graduate of Stuttgart who progressed through its ranks to make 103 appearances across all competitions for the senior side.
He joined the Red Bulls in 2016 and managed to score an incredible 95 goals in 159 matches for the German outfit.
The forward’s amazing performances attracted the attention of Chelsea who activated his £47.5 million release clause to sign him on a five-year deal.
However, he has failed to make a big impact at Stamford Bridge, with the 25-year-old contributing only 15 goals and 16 assists in 64 total appearances for the Pensioners so far.
