Glasgow Rangers midfielder Carlos Pena is likely to leave the Ibrox club in the January transfer window.
According to reports from Turkish outlet 24SaafFutbol, three Turkish clubs are in contact with Pena to lure him away from Ibrox in January.
Bottom of the league Rizespor, 16th-placed BB Erzurumspor and 14th-placed Alanyaspor have all made contact to sign the 19-time Mexico international, who has returned to the Gers last month after his loan spell with Mexican side Necaxa expired.
Pena joined Rangers in the summer of 2017 from Chivas, signed by Pedro Caixinha, but struggled to make an impact despite scoring five goals in 14 games from midfield.
He joined Caixinha on loan at Cruz Azul. However, his form deteriorated and his loan spell was cut short. He joined Necaxa, but could not get rid of his drinking problems despite checking into rehab.
The 28-year-old is one of the club’s highest earners. He returned last month at Rangers, but doubts remain whether he features in Steven Gerrard’s first team plans.
The Gers will be more than happy to offload him and the interest from Turkish clubs will come as a welcome boost for both the player and the Scottish Premiership outfit.
