Manchester United players, Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay, have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford. The duo have not started a single Premier League game under José Mourinho, and the former Chelsea manager has confirmed that he will not stand in the way of a potential January exit.
I am always open to listen to offers for every player. Any player who knocks on my door and is not happy and wants to move, when the offers are correct, I will never stop a player from leaving, even if it is to a rival. When Mata left Chelsea to come to United, no problem at all. I am always open.
Ronald Koeman is thought to be interested in signing Schneiderlin. He has worked with the Frenchman at Southampton before and is well aware of his qualities. Furthermore, it could be a good move for Schneiderlin, as well. He managed to put on some quality performances under the former Saints’ boss, and a reunion could help him resurrect his stagnating career.
As for Depay, the Dutch winger has been linked with several clubs already. The likes of Roma, Spartak, and Everton are all interested in the former PSV winger, if reports are to be believed. Everton and Roma are interested in signing the player on loan.
The £25m Dutch international was regarded as a world-class talent when he signed for United in 2015. However, he has struggled to adapt to the demands of English football, and a move away could do him a world of good. Depay is severely lacking in confidence and needs to play regularly in order to get his form back.
Additionally, if the two players leave in January, Mourinho might have the funds to sign someone he actually wants. Manchester United have had a poor start to their season and could definitely use some new signings to lift the spirits around the club.
Meanwhile, Russian football agent, Alexey Safonov, has revealed that Spartak want to sign Depay, and he is sure that an agreement will be reached. He also confirmed that the Spartak attacker, Quincy Promes, is a friend of Depay and has already spoken to him about the club and the city.
In Manchester, he sits on the bench, he’s an ambitious man. Surely Depay wants to play, and not look at football from the outside, even in England. Spartak will help him. With the club [Manchester United], I’m sure, Spartak will agree.
