Juventus are considering moves for a couple of Chelsea players, according to the Daily Mail.
The first one is defender Branislav Ivanovic, who the Bianconeri could make a loan move for in January. Juve were one of several clubs fighting for the Serbian center back’s signature before he chose to move from Lokomotiv Moscow in a £9.7m deal in January.
After not making a single first-team appearance for Chelsea last season, Ivanovic has made nine starts in 12 appearances for the Blues this season, and he’s actually started the last two league matches, against West Brom and Fulham. So, that could help rule out any move for Ivanovic, along with the possibility that Alex could leave Stamford Bridge in January.
The other player Juve are after is winger Florent Malouda, who the club could look at as a replacement for the soon-to-retire Pavel Nedved. Malouda has scored four goals and chipped in five assists this season, but he’s been in and out of the starting lineup recently.
However, as opposed to making an immediate move for Ivanovic, Juve consider the former Lyon star as a summer target. But, with Bayern Munich potentially looking to make a bid for Malouda in January, that could force Juve to act sooner than they’d planned to.
And with Chelsea now being linked with a new left winger in Marseille’s Hatem Ben Arfa (a former teammate at Lyon and a fellow French international), January could be the time to get him, if something happens to materialize with the Blues’ interest in Ben Arfa.
