Manchester United are plotting a complete squad overhaul this summer and it seems that there will be quite a few casualties at Old Trafford.
Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has been linked with a move away from Manchester United.
According to recent reports, Jose Mourinho is not a fan of the former Athletic Bilbao playmaker and has informed Ed Woodward of his plans.
Herrera could join a long list of players who are set for the exit. Varela, Darmian, Depay, Schweinsteiger, Ashley Young, Valencia, Fellaini, Rojo and Romero are all unwanted and could be sold this summer.
El Confidencial are claiming that Mourinho met with Woodward on Friday and outlined his plans for next season. He also informed Woodward about the players he does not want at the club next season.
Manchester United have been linked with moves for Andre Gomes and Miralem Pjanic and if they manage to land either, it is unlikely that Herrera will get much first team action next season.
As things stand, Herrera will probably be better off with a move away from the club. He is still quite young and needs to play regularly to fulfill his potential. A move back to Spain could do him a world of good.
