Arsenal transfer target Adrien Rabiot appears to be closer to a move away from his current club Paris Saint-Germain.
French website Le 10 Sport are convinced the player will leave in 2015, with January a realistic possibility.
The 19-year old French midfielder has been a strong transfer target of Arsenal and Italian Serie A duo Juventus and Roma.
Adrien Rabiot is yet to play a single game for the Ligue 1 champions this season after wanting a move away from the club over the summer. He made 24 appearances in the French league last season and is a highly-rated player for the future.
The central midfielder is in the final year of his contract at the Parc des Princes, meaning he is free to leave next summer. Although PSG are well-funded by their own, they still may want to cash in on him in January.
Rabiot was trolled on Twitter by PSG fans over the summer after wanting a move away from the club. His relationship with the club now appears to be untenable and is destined for a move away from the French capital.
This is good news for Arsenal fans as manager Arsène Wenger seeks a long-term replacement for Mikel Arteta in the holding midfield role. The tall Rabiot can be just that.
Arsenal will face strong competition from both Serie A champions Juventus, and runners-up Roma. The latter appeared to be closing in on a late deal during the summer transfer window before it fell through.
Like Arsenal, Roma are also managed by one of Rabiot’s fellow countrymen – Rudi García.
Juventus may sell Rabiot as a placement to either the aging Andrea Pirlo or the highly-sought after duo of Paul Pogba and Arturo should the club wish to cash in on either of their assets.
Expect more rumours to float around over the coming months before we may see a resolution in the form of a transfer in January.
