Joel Campell also got a 4-minute run out in Arsenal’s 3-0 FA Community Shield victory over Manchester City at the start of August.
He has spent three seasons loaned out from Arsenal in France, Spain and Greece with Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos respective.
His performances with the Greek Super League champions and in the 2014 World Cup earned him rave reviews and was expected to be part of the Arsenal first-team this summer.
With the impending arrival of Danny Welbeck, Campbell could be further demoted at the Emirates Stadium and subsequently loaned out.
