Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio was reportedly targeted by several top clubs in the January transfer window.
Premier League champions Manchester United were linked with a move on more than one occasion, with David Moyes involved in scouting trips to Turin.
The Times also reported that Tottenham Hotspur were also keen to land him in January, but in the end, no concrete offers were made for the Italian midfield maestro.
Now, Marchisio has revealed that he has received phone calls concerning several English clubs, although none of the clubs contacted him directly.
“Sometimes I have received phone calls from agents who told me of the interest of clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool,” he revealed (relayed by the Daily Express).
“But no one from these clubs, however, has never contacted directly us. And in case I would tell them to talk to Juve.”
Marchisio has made 20 league appearances this season for the Old Lady and is a key member of the squad. However, he could be tempted by a move, should the right offer come along.
Juventus are closing in on yet another title, as they are 14 points clear of their nearest rivals AS Roma.
