Liverpool have had a fantastic start to their season and they are sitting at the top of the table with 26 points from 11 matches.

Jurgen Klopp‘s team are the best attacking unit in the country and have been scoring goals for fun. However, the Reds are still leaking poor goals and will need to tighten up at the back if they want to sustain their title challenge.

German media are reporting that Klopp is aware of the deficiencies in his squad and is ready to address them during the January transfer window. As per SportBild‘s reports, Klopp has already formulated a “master plan” to win the Premier League title this season.

Apparently, the German wants to sign four new players during the January transfer window, and he believes that those new signings can guide his side to Premier League glory at the end of this season.

The four players mentioned are Jonathan Tah, Mahmoud Dahoud, Hector Herrera and Sardar Azmoun.

Dahoud, Hector and Tah have been linked with Liverpool in the past, and all three would be cracking additions to any side in the Premier League. Dahoud and Tah, especially, would improve Klopp’s team massively. Both are some of the best young players in their positions, and signing them would reflect FSG’s policy of investing in youth, as well. Furthermore, the Reds are crying out for a good centre-back and a midfield controller as well.

Regardless of his age, Hector would also be an intelligent addition to Liverpool. The Reds have missed a combative, defensive midfielder since the departure of Mascherano, and the Porto star can fill that gap. The rumour about Azmoun surfaced after the injury to Danny Ings. The young forward could replace the injured Englishman as a squad player.

Liverpool did very well to get rid of their fringe players during the summer window and were in profit overall. They certainly have the resources to sign these players, but it is unlikely that Gladbach, Leverkusen, Porto, or Rostov would sanction the sale of their star players in January.

If Liverpool do manage to pull off these signings, they will definitely be favourites for the title. But common sense says that they might have to wait until the end of this season to get their hands on these players.
