Arsenal forward Theo Walcott took to Twitter to deny reports of a bust up with manager Arsene Wenger amidst his ongoing contract talks. The Englishman’s contract with the Gunners is set to expire in 2016 and there were claims that he is looking for a significant pay rise on his current £90,000 a week deal with rivals Liverpool reportedly interested in him.
I don’t normally comment on false stories about myself but reports about contract demands & bust-ups with the boss are complete nonsense…

The 26 year old was out for 15 months due to a cruciate ligament injury suffered against Tottenham back in January 2014. Walcott has recently recovered from the long term injury but with new signings Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, Walcott has fallen down the pecking order.
The pacy winger has three starts in the Premier League this season. Taking to Twitter, Walcott also denied claims that he is unhappy at the club but also mentioned that there have been no contract talks as of yet.
There have been no contract talks as yet and my current focus is not on contracts but on doing my best for Arsenal FC.

The Independent reports that Arsene Wenger said last week that Walcott was “difficult” to convince to sign a new contract back in 2013. The French boss said, “We have started very early with him. He is very quick on the pitch, but off the pitch not always.”
Wenger also stated that he wants Walcott to stay, “I want him to stay and be a regular player and fight for his place, but no matter where you go if it is a big club you have to compete for your place.”
