Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is out of a contract at the end of this season and the Londoners are confident of securing his long-term services soon.
The highly talented English midfielder was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge at the end of his current deal, but according to the Telegraph, the Blues are confident of agreeing on a new long-term deal with the player.
Loftus-Cheek was frustrated with life under Mourinho. The talented central midfielder hardly played under the Portuguese manager and was often criticised for his work rate.
At one point it seemed that the young midfielder was destined to move to another club, but the situation has changed under Hiddink.
Loftus-Cheek has been promised more game time and has impressed under the new manager. The young midfielder also scored during Chelsea’s win over Scunthorpe last week.
Loftus-Cheek is expected to sign a new deal worth around £40,000-a-week.
Earlier it was reported that Loftus-Cheek is a target for Manchester United. The young midfielder is a fan favourite at Stamford bridge and the Blues faithful will be delighted with the news that he is ready to snub United and commit his long-term future to Chelsea.
