Ronaldo Signs For Brazilian Club Corinthians

Brazilian legend and three times former FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldo has decided to join Brazilian club Corinthians on a one-year contract.

It has been confirmed that the much injury-troubled Brazilian striker shall continue his career in Brazil. He has been out of all footballing action since February 2008 when he once again damaged his knee, this time against Livorno while playing for AC Milan in the Italian Serie A.

His contract with Milan expired at the end of last season and he has been without a club since then. In recent weeks there has been reports of him joining Premier League club Manchester City and last week it emerged that his former club AC Milan were eager to take him on board.

But it has now emerged that Ronaldo has decided to sign for Brazilian club Corinthians. Corinthians have been promoted to the top flight this season and are looking to reinforce their squad.

Corinthians’ general manager Antonio Carlos has said: “It is all true, the contract was signed. President Andres Sanchez met with Ronaldo last week.”

Could Ronaldo refurbish himself at Corinthians and rediscover his old touch? Can the great Ronaldo revive himself?
