Premier league duo Arsenal and Manchester United are said to be keeping tabs on Juan Cuadrado, according to Italian Daily La Nazione, with Liverpool also in the mix.
The Fiorentina winger is believed to be valued at around £24 million and has been in fine form this season for the Italian side. His displays in Serie A have attracted much interested abroad, particularly in London and Manchester. Liverpool have also been linked with the winger after losing out to Chelsea for the signature of Salah.
The 25 year old Colombian certainly knows how to find the net, having scored 11 goals in 39 appearances this season. Fiorentina are said to be very keen to keep hold of him, but every player has a price and an offer in the region of £24 million will be hard to turn down.
The club are however in the running for Champions League football and qualification for Europe’s most prestige tournament could persuade Cuadrado to stay. Focus is key though with Inter Milan hot on their heels. Only two points separate the two sides after 34 games.
Reports earlier this month suggested that Manchester United had sent scouts to watch the winger play against Udinese. The Daily Mail have suggested it is his versatility that is attracting United, having been converted from a right winger to a right wing-back and flourishing in the roll.
David Moyes was known to be putting in an incredible amount of scouting work for next season, but now that he has been sacked it remains to be seen if Manchester United will continue pursuing the Colombian international.
This could put Arsenal and Liverpool in a better position to sign the talented Cuadrado. Liverpool have recently gone on record that money will not be an issue next season when buying players. Rodgers has been assured they will pay what they have to in order to get the big players they need to continue their progression as a club.
With Champions League football a guarantee next season, and the title pretty much wrapped up, Liverpool fans will be linked with top players and their fans can look forward to a very exciting transfer window ahead.
When you consider his frequent ability to get on the score sheet, his speed and versatility, both in attack and defence, the price tag of £24 million seems to be value for money. Cuadrado certainly has all the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League and will be a very good signing for either Liverpool, Arsenal or United.
