Romanian agent Giovani Becali has revealed that Jose Mourinho and Txiki Begiristain have asked about Ianis Hagi recently.
The midfielder is currently on loan at Rangers and he has done very well with them. The Romanian has already won over the fans with his quality and he is expected to sign for the club permanently.
Rangers have the option to make the move permanent and it would be a huge surprise if they chose to let him leave in the summer.
Hagi has shown that he has tremendous potential and he could develop into a key player for the club. He is already winning games for Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Ibrox giants will need players like him if they want to win the title next season.
The agent has claimed that Hagi is likely to be signed up by Rangers in the summer.
He said (quoted by Daily Record): “I have been asked personally by Jose Mourinho and Txiki Begiristain about Ianis Hagi. They wanted to know about him and how he was getting on.
“So there’s a lot of top people in European football who know all about Ianis and what he can do.
“I happen to think Ianis is on a good plan at Rangers. I think Rangers will sign him because he is a player who has that little extra piece of creativity and skill.
“He has many other qualities and is actually more graceful than his father ever was. He runs like a gazelle compared to him! I think he is improving all the time at Rangers. He will continue to get better if he signs for them I think.”
It will be interesting to see if the likes of Spurs and Manchester City come in for the playmaker anytime soon. They are top clubs and they could easily turn the player’s head.
However, Hagi should concentrate on his development right now.
The midfielder is only 21 and if he keeps playing at this level, he will get the chance to play for an elite club. He cannot afford to join a big club as a squad player right now.
