What a week this has been for Manchester United! With David Moyes being unceremoniously sacked in midweek, we reported earlier today that Dutch Legend Louis Van Gaal is set to take over the reins in the summer.
It is believed that whoever takes charge at the helm of Old Trafford, he will be armed with a £200m war chest to bolster the squad in what will be a shopping spree in the summer.
Today we here at Soccerlens provide our readers with United’s whopping £150m summer transfer plans.
We had earlier reported in the past week that PSG’s talismanic striker Edinson Cavani is seemingly unsettled in Paris and wants a move to the Premier League. Chelsea and United have been inked with the 27-year-old who will cost £60m in the summer.
Daniel Taylor, Chief football writer for the Guardian earlier tweeted that United had a meeting with Cavani’s agent in Paris but Fabrizio Romano of Gianluca Di Marzio staff believes that the deal is as ‘good’ as done with three meetings already done.
More info today about Edinson Cavani too. #MUFC definitely in for him. At least one meeting already in Paris.

The Red Devils are also lining up a bid for unsettled Barcelona midfielder and former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas. United were also linked to the 26 year old Spaniard last summer but had two bids rejected by the Camp Nou outfit.
In midfield – don’t roll your eyes – the player #MUFC want above all is Cesc Fabregas. Deja vu, yes. But their info, they think, is solid

We had earlier reported that the Catalan club will be tempted if a €30-40m is tabled for Fabregas. Porto’s Eliaquim Mangala’s transfer to the Premier League looks imminent with both the Manchester clubs interested but Porto will only sell if they get €50m for their prized asset.
However, important to note priority is midfield and centre of defence. #MUFC want Mangala but accept he’s almost certainly going to #MCFC

With Nemanja Vidic off to Inter Milan in the summer and Rio Ferdinand’s career being at its twilight, the Red Devils must splash the cash to lure him away from the claws of their ‘noisy’ neighbours.
Soccerlens Verdict:
Edinson Cavani: This should be a done deal. Chelsea re also in line for the Uruguayan hitman but with meetings already done, Cavani might be in United colours next season. However will he opt for a move to a club which doesn’t offer Champions League football?
Cesc Fabregas: Arsenal fans would feel there is no way that Fabregas will join the Red Devils. But being unsettled and not getting enough game time, can Cesc reject a significant attractive deal at Old Trafford?
Eliaquim Mangala: Porto have always been a selling club and its no secret that the Portuguese giants will have to part ways with Mnagala in the summer. City are in pole position to land him at the Etihad and I feel United will play that whooping sum for a defender.
