According to Telegraph, Manchester United are finally prepared to let go of David De Gea. The Premier League club will sign Jasper Cillessen if De Gea joins Real Madrid.
The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu all summer and is now a step closer to realizing his dream.
According to the reputed, Mark Ogden, United have decided that they are willing to let go of the former Atletico Madrid keeper, if they get their desired fee.
Although De Gea has not forced the move by submitting a transfer request, the player has refused to play for Manchester United, according to his manager, Louis Van Gaal.
De Gea is determined to leave the club after the manager refused to offer him a new contract last season. Although the club tried to make up for that by offering him a bumper new deal this season, the Spaniard is disappointed and wants a move.
Manchester United held on all summer with the hope that Madrid will back off if they keep maintaining an interest in Sergio Ramos. But the centre back has signed a new deal at Madrid and now United have lost their bargaining chip.
Agent Jorge Mendes is trying to accelerate the move and De Gea is confident of a transfer before tomorrow’s Spanish deadline.
Holland international, Jasper Cillessen will be signed as the replacement according to Ogden.
