The next six games are absolutely vital for Everton, as we move towards the climax of the 2015-16 Barclays Premier League season.
Roberto Martinez’s side doesn’t have anything to play for in the league, but they can play a crucial role (read as playing spoilsport) in determining the outcome of the title, or the top four race.
Before heading to the international break, they face Arsenal, who are desperate to get their season back on track although time is slowly slipping away from their hands.
With just one win in their last eight games, Arsenal are badly lacking in confidence at the moment. Already knocked out of the FA Cup and the Champions League within the past five days, Arsenal have no other options left rather to put up a strong challenge for the title, where the Gunners are trailing leaders Leicester City by 11 points, albeit they have a game in hand.
Arsene Wenger has said in the press conference earlier today that the game holds a “huge importance” in the context of their season, and another negative result would be simply catastrophe for them.
Arsenal haven’t won at Goodison Park since 2012, but they hold an impressive record against Everton, having remain beaten in 18 of their last 19 meetings between the two sides.
