Eden Hazard has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge over the last few weeks.
The Belgian has had a season to forget so far and is apparently considering a move away from England. The likes of PSG and Real Madrid are monitoring his situation according to Daily Mail.
However, despite the transfer rumours, Hazard’s father has confirmed that the player is focused on Chelsea and is looking to help the side turn their season around.
Speaking to Het Nieuwsblad [via Goal], Hazard’s father confirmed that despite the catastrophic start to Chelsea’s season and the interest from European heavyweights, Hazard is only concerned about improving Chelsea’s Premier League situation.
“Eden is completely focused on Chelsea,” said Thierry. “He still has ambition. Winning the title is complicated, but to finish in the top three is still possible.”
These are certainly very interesting claims from Hazard’s father. The player has been linked with a move away and the news that he wants to play for Chelsea and is focused on his job will go down very well with the Chelsea fans.
Chelsea currently find themselves 14th in the table, having amassed only 23 points from their opening 20 matches.
Qualifying for next season’s Champions League will be quite a challenge for the Premier League champions at the moment.
A Europa league spot would be a much more realistic target for Chelsea considering their current place in the league table.
