Serie A Champions Juventus are plotting a shock transfer swoop for former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba. The 36 year old Ivorian has confirmed that he will leave Turkish side Galatasaray in the summer saying good bye to the fans from his Instagram account.
“Dear Fans, dear brothers, dear sisters, since day one of my arrival thanks to you all, I felt at home here in Turkey. Sharing, seeing, feeling the passion, sincerity and warm hospitality of My Turkish people is truly unforgettable.”
There have been reports in Italian daily La Gazzetta Dello Sport claiming that Juventus are keen to land Drogba on a free transfer while Jose Mourinho is also interested to bring him back to Chelsea. However, the Blues’ policy of dealing with players above 30 might be a potential stumbling block.

Juventus manager Antonio Conte signed a recent contract to stay with the Turin outfit and is desperate to mount a Champions League challenge with his side next season. It is believed that the Bianconeri see Drogba as a bit part player who can make the difference in big games.
The Ivorian has hit the net 12 times this season for Galatasaray showing that he is fully capabale of playing in the top flight despite his age. However, reputed journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that the Old Lady like Drogba but would like a young striker behind the pecking order of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.
Other reports have also claimed that AC Milan are also in the race for Drogba’s signature in the summer.
