Media might have created a notion before us that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, the two greatest players of this generation, the two players that play for rival teams, do not share cordiality between each other, but probably the reality is something different.
Obviously, these two people are great rivals on the pitch, always looking to out-perform one another, but underneath there is a huge respect for everyone.

The former Manchester United superstar in the 2014 Ballon d’Or gala said he would have loved to play alongside Messi and Neuer, while the Argentine when asked to comment about the other contestants, hymned the same tune.
