Chelsea lost control of the game in the first half after a good start but Spartak Moscow failed to make the most of it. Finally, four minutes into the second half, Nicolas Anelka scored an excellent goal off an excellent Ramires pass.
Didier Drogba was “allegedly” brought down in the box and a penalty was awarded. Drogba put the penalty away. That was followed by a Branislav Ivanovic header off a Drogba free-kick. Ivanovic was then involved in two more goals, one for Moscow and one for Chelsea.
