Papy Djilobodji has only played just one minute for Chelsea since joining the club in the summer from French club Nantes.
The 27-year-old defender doesn’t seem to be in the first team plans of manager Guus Hiddink, and he is looking for a move elsewhere to get regular games.
According to reports from The Guardian, Djilobodji could join Werder Bremen on loan during the January transfer window.
The Werder Bremen chief executive, Thomas Eichin, told Bild: “We are in negotiations.”
He hasn’t played a single Premier League game, and his solitary appearance to date came in the Capital One Cup against Walsall in September.
Blues want Ighalo?
Chelsea are looking to sign a striker in the January transfer window, and are monitoring Watford striker Odion Ighalo, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 26-year-old has scored 13 goals this season for the Hornets and has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United.
Ighalo has signed a new five year deal in September, but he admitted that he could yet be open to a move to a top club.
He claimed earlier this month that a potential transfer to Manchester United would be “a dream” for him.
