Chelsea winger Charly Musonda looks set to to extend his stay at Real Betis on loan for another season.
The La Liga outfit have sent a delegation to secure the move. Marca confirm that Betis officials were in London yesterday for talks regarding an extension and judging by Piet De Visser’s (Chelsea scout) recent comments, the Belgian could well return to La Liga for another season.
He said: “We have loaned him for a year to Betis, where he performed admirably. Give him another season and I reckon he will be ready for Chelsea.”
The young Belgian winger performed very well in La Liga last season and he has previously admitted that he would like to continue there. Musonda also confirmed his desire to join a Spanish club – Barcelona or Real Madrid in future. He added that he likes the food and weather in Spain.
Betis were hoping to get an option to buy the player after his loan spell finishes next season, but Chelsea are not ready to let him go and therefore according to reports from Spain, Musonda will return to Chelsea again.
The report adds that a loan deal is very much on the cards and a move could be finalised soon. They also claim that all parties want him to spend another season at the Spanish side.
