Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado could be set for a transfer away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
At one point it seemed like the Colombian would stay at the London club, but despite Conte offering him another chance, the player is supposedly keen on a return to Serie A.
The former Juventus manager was hoping to add Cuadrado’s flair and workrate to his flanks this season.
According to latest reports, Cuadrado is a target for AC Milan and Chelsea are willing to sanction a sale. The Premier League giants have already decided on a fee for the Colombian winger and the Italian outfit will have to fork out around 30 million Euros if they want to sign him.
Apparently Milan only want to loan the 28 year old for a season, but Chelsea insist on a permanent transfer.
Cuadrado impressed with Juventus last season and the Italian champions wanted to sign him as well. However, they could not agree a deal with Juventus.
Chelsea are keen on recouping most of what they paid for the former Fiorentina star last year and will not sell for less than 25 million Euros.
The Colombian has been a proven performer in Serie A over the years and a return to Italy would be beneficial to all parties. There is no point keeping an unhappy player and Conte will be better off signing someone else with the proceeds from Cuadrado’s sale.
Furthermore, the player can also kick-start his career in his comfort zone, at a club that can offer him regular first team football.
