Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has had a season to forget so far and it seems that the Serbian midfielder could leave the club once again this summer.
According to Daily Star, a 20 million pounds move to Juventus this summer has already been agreed and Chelsea are willing to let him go.
Matic, once a youth prospect at Chelsea, rejoined the club under Jose Mourinho for 21 million pounds from Benfica. The defensive midfielder was a major hit in his first season and helped the club to a Premier League title.
However, this season has been completely different for him and the club. Almost every player at the club has disappointed along the course of this season.
Therefore, selling Matic after one poor season makes very little sense. When on form, he is still the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League.
Time will tell if Daily Star’s report has any truth to it, but if Chelsea decide to move him on, it will be interesting to see who they replace him with. The Leicester City midfielder N’golo Kante has been linked with the Blues after a stellar season with the Foxes.
Furthermore, Daily Star are also claiming that new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is ready to listen to offers for Oscar and is not convinced with Diego Costa as well.
