Chelsea legend and former captain John Terry is considering a shock move to Championship side Aston Villa, according to the Sky Sports.
Terry ended his illustrious 22-year career at Stamford Bridge at the end of this season and is considering several offers after attracting interest from multiple English sides.
Aston Villa are said to be one of the parties highly interested in signing the veteran defender but the Villains will have to persuade Terry to move to the second tier this summer.
Terry was pictured playing golf with Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce, Alex Bruce and his brother Paul Terry this weekend in Portugal and the former England skipper reportedly discussed the potential idea of moving to the Villa Park to help the Villains mount a genuine promotion push in the upcoming campaign.

However, the 36-year-old also has offers from Premier League sides with Bournemouth considered to be in pole position to land the prolific defender. The Cherries approached Chelsea in January to discuss the possibility of signing Terry on a short-term loan deal but the move failed to materialize.
Terry is reportedly confident of performing at the highest level and revealed his desire to continue his playing career after the final Premier League game of the season against Sunderland.
Terry said: “Every ex-player says the same – play as long as you can and treasure every minute. I want to play.
