Manchester City and Chelsea are due to play an end-of-season friendly at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, May 25.

If that date sticks out, that’s because it’s also the day the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will be played at Wembley.

Champions League Final and City v Chelsea

For US / New York based football fans, May 25th is a double treat – not only do they get the chance to watch two of the top three Premier League teams (and recent league champions) play live, Yankee Stadium will also be hosting it’s first ever live screening of Fox Sports’ telecast of the Champions League final BEFORE the Chelsea-City game.

Dubbed as the first-ever “UEFA Champions League Viewing”, the final will be shown live Stadium’s 59-foot-high by 101-foot-long high-definition centerfield video board. The FOX Sports’ pre-game coverage will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by the broadcast of the UEFA Champions League Final at 2:45 p.m., live from Wembley Stadium in London.

If you’re a football fan, there are few better ways to spend a Saturday.

The kickoff of the on-field match at Yankee Stadium between English Premier League standouts Manchester City FC and Chelsea FC is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., following the “UEFA Champions League Viewing.”

All tickets for the May 25 event include both the viewing party and the live match. Gates will open at 2:00 p.m. Fans should note that if the televised match runs into extra time and/or penalties, the start time of the Manchester City-Chelsea match will be no earlier than 15 minutes following the conclusion of the UEFA Champions League Final.
