Arsenal v Wolves
English Premier League
Emirates Stadium – London, England
3 April 2010 – 15:00 GMT
Arsenal faces Wolves in the English Premier League needing a win to keep their title hopes alive.
Arsenal v Wolves Preview
The Gunners come off a 2-2 draw against Barcelona which saw injuries to Andrey Arshavin, captain Cesc Fabregas, and defender William Gallas. Fabregas will be out for the rest of the season while Gallas and Arshavin could be out for several weeks.
Arsenal are four points back of Manchester United and would probably be out of the title race if they drop points against Wolves. Even though they will be without several key players, Arsenal have more than enough talent to get a win on Saturday. Theo Walcott, who provided a spark in the Barcelona match, will likely get a chance to start along with Denilson.
Wolves have had some good results lately and now are in 14th place (five points above the relegation zone). They won at Burnley and West Ham United along with draws against Everton and Aston Villa. They are not going to be an easy win for the Gunners and are a hard working, discplined team. They are led in scoring by striker Kevin Doyle, who has seven goals in the EPL.
Arsenel will miss Fabregas but they should be getting Robin Van Persie back sometime this month. Wolves will make it a close match, at least in the first half, but the Gunners will pull away in the second half with several goals.
