English Premier League
Emirates Stadiumd – London, England
20 March 2010 – 17:30 GMT
The Gunners can go top of the table on as they host West Ham United in the English Premier League.
Arsenal v West Ham Preview
Arsenal heads into the match two points behind league leaders Manchester United. The Gunners have won five EPL matches in a row and have a 12-1-2 record at the Emirates Stadium. They have a league leading 71 goals scored which includes 14 from Cesc Fabregas.
West Ham are 16th place heading into the match and three points above the relegation zone. West Ham has been one of the worst teams in the Premiership on the road with a 1-5-9 record and -14 goal difference. After winning two in a row in February, West Ham has lost their last three Premier League matches.
Arsenal will be without without Gallas, Ramsey, Gibbs, Van Persie, and Djourou due to injury. West Ham are without Da Coast (suspension), Boa Morte, Hines, and Faubert.
The Gunners will have captain Cesc Fabregas back in the line-up and be the favorites to win the match. They’ve been in great form of late and shouldn’t have much trouble breaking down an average West Ham defense. West Ham are safe from relegation for now but a few more losses could see them in trouble.
A win is not realistic for West Ham at the Emirates but there’s an outside shot at a draw. It all depends on Arsenal will have Arshavin and Bendtner to combine with Fabregas in the attack. If they can maintain their form from recent weeks it will be another easy win for the home side.
