Italian national team manager Antonio Conte has claimed that he will consider offers from other clubs as well before deciding his future.

Conte’s contract with Italy expires after the Euro 2016 and he is expected to join Chelsea this summer. According to recent reports, the former Juventus manager held talks with the London outfit over a potential move and then agreed to a move.

Apparently the Italian has agreed on a three-year deal to take over at Chelsea.

However, his recent comments about considering other clubs from Italy as well as abroad will be a major cause of concern for the Premier League champions.

He said: “For me Chelsea is not a taboo word but I could also mention the name of Italian teams too.”

“I will consider the choices on offer, whether that’s in Italy or abroad. The only thing I can confirm is I am not going to another national team.”

However, he has admitted his admiration for the English Premier League and has hinted that he will definitely come to England one day.

He said: “English football is definitely very attractive at the moment for players and coaches, not least because it’s a very interesting league from many points of view.”

“It’s always very competitive and interesting. Till now I’ve always managed in Italy I’ve never hidden my will in the future to work in other countries.”

“If that happens soon or not I don’t know but it will certainly happen sooner or later.”

Chelsea desperately need a quality manager to replace Jose Mourinho in the long run and Conte is their number one target. If he ends up accepting an offer from another club, the blues might be forced to continue with Hiddink for another year.

With Guardiola and Mourinho taking over the two Manchester clubs at the end of this season, Chelsea need their own man to get back in the mix for the title as well.
