Reigning La Liga winners Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Alessio Cerci from Italian side Torino reports the Guardian. We had reported yesterday that Arsenal wee interested in the 27 year old who scored 21 goals and grabbed 19 assists for Torino in the last two seasons in the Serie A.
Atletico seemed delighted with their latest acquisition with the club’s Sporting Director José Luis Perez Caminero saying, “The agreement reached with Torino for the transfer of Cerci is a joy for all. It was a clear objective to finish strengthen our squad ahead to face all the challenges that lie ahead this season.”
“We’ve Had to make a major effort after of all the operations we have done this summer, but we are convinced that it was worth because we consider it a key to our team piece.”
Earlier in April both the Manchester clubs, United and City were interested in Cerci who had claimed that he was unsure about his future in Italy
