The Premier League will take two weeks off for the international break (giving Wenger and Benitez another opportunity to crib about Fabregas and Torres playing for Spain) – but don’t worry, the title race will take another exciting twist this weekend as Manchester United and Arsenal have a go at kicking each other out of the title race at Old Trafford.
Elsewhere Chelsea, Spurs, City, Everton, and even Villa and Liverpool have fairly straightforward games to play and therefore ‘stay’ in the race for the title / Europe.

Chelsea v Burnley
If you’re going to bet on this game, bet on the number of goals Chelsea will score in the second half. I’m picking 3. Prediction: Chelsea 4-0 Burnley
Blackburn v West Ham
Kicking lumps out of City didn’t help Blackburn at all. Against West Ham I’d expect Blackburn to let their football do the talking. Another 90 minutes of drudgery then. Prediction: Blackburn 0-0 West Ham
Bolton v Liverpool
Liverpool should bounce back from their shock defeat at the hands of Villa, and Rafa will have them itching to run out there and get the three points. Bolton, still to get off the mark, will most likely fail to do so this month. Prediction: Bolton 0-2 Liverpool
Stoke v Sunderland
Stoke have signed Huth and Tuncay from Middlesbrough, and have 4 points from their first 3 games. Sunderland are in good form though and have a very good chance of winning this one. Prediction: Stoke 1-2 Sunderland
Tottenham v Birmingham City
Easy-ish pickings for Tottenham. Brum will fight but with Spurs is such good scoring form, it’s an easy game to predict. Prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Birmingham
Wolves v Hull City
Should be a cracker of a match, even if not always pleasing to the eye. Both teams will fancy their chances and will go for a win. Prediction: Wolves 1-0 Hull City
Manchester United v Arsenal
Champions Manchester United host flying Arsenal at Old Trafford. Berbatov and Owen got off the mark for United last weekend at Wigan and Ferguson will feel confident that his team can continue their Champions League form against Arsenal in the domestic league this season as well. Prediction: Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal
Sunday, August 30
Portsmouth v Manchester City
Portsmouth are rushing to strengthen the club after the takeover was completed today but it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to put a team strong enough to beat City. Prediction: Portsmouth 2-3 Manchester City
Everton v Wigan Athletic
Everton have yet to get off the mark this season and against Wigan they should do just that at Goodison Park. Prediction: Everton 1-0 Wigan
Aston Villa v Fulham
Villa finally got their season started with a win at Anfield and with a few signings expected this week, they should be back on course for a top-8 finish. Fulham will be good again this season but at Villa Park, MON’s men should get the three points. Prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 Fulham
