Until yesterday, many hadn’t heard the name of Arsenal player Joel Campbell. He joined the Gunners in 2011 as a low-key signing and was immediately sent back on loan. Since then, two-and-a-half years have passed, the player is seen nowhere near the vicinity of the Emirates.
But, the youngster probably has etched his name in the bracket of cult-hero status after he scored a sensational goal against Manchester United in the Champions League.
It was his eighth goal of the season for Olympiakos, but definitely the most important goal of his this far – a goal, he will remember forever. Not only his goal has earned his side a 2-0 victory, but has taken his team on the brink of a quarter final berth since 1999.
Arsenal fans took twitter to congratulate Campbell, while many said that he should be recalled next season, as that goal proved that he is ready to wear the Arsenal shirt. Let us check some of the tweets.
What a massive goal that is for Joel Campbell. That should remind Arsene that he is ready for the Arsenal.

They say that the real stars perform in big games. Safe to say Joel Campbell is giving a damn fine account of himself.

I believe United will be little bit confused tonight. They thought Joel Campbell was a defender Rooney dived over in 2004.
