The summer transfer window may be over but the rumour mill is omnipresent. Despite domestic leagues and European competitions in full flow there are lot to speculate as we anticipate the ‘fast approaching’ January transfer window.

We bring you a roundup of all the latest transfer stories including a Manchester United target worth at €100m while Liverpool will have fierce competition to sign a Borussia Dortmund striker.

Marco Verratti worth at €100m claims agent:

According to French media outlet France Football, Manchester United target Marco Verratti is worth €100m according to the player’s agent. Donato Di Campli, Verratti agent, values his cleint at €100m.

He was quoted saying to France Football, “If Kevin De Bruyne signs for Manchester City for €80m, then €100m for Marco does not seem unreasonable. I hear here and there that Pogba is €100m. For me, Verratti is worth as much.”

The Daily Express states that Manchester United and Arsenal were significantly interested in the Italian midfielder but there were no signs of a deal being struck.

The report from France Football also states that PSG rejected Real Madrid’s €60m bid for the 22 year old who is considered as a future superstar. Verratti has a contract with PSG till 2019 and only a huge offer will force the reigning French Champions to part with their prized asset.

United’s interest in the player makes sense as the Red Devils need to plan for their central midfield future with Bastian Schweinsteiger and Michael Carrick in their thirties. United do have the financial muscle to sign any player in this world but it will be interesting to see if they make a move for Verratti in the near future.

Liverpool joined by PSG and Barcelona in the race to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang:

According to French Media outlet Le 10 Sport, PSG and Barcelona have joined Liverpool in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Gabon international has been in stunning form this season and with Jurgen Klopp now in charge of Liverpool, its natural to see a host of Dortmund players being linked with a move to Anfield. However, their is more fiction in the story than pure facts as Aubameyang is under contract with Dortmund till 2020 and he is happy at the club.

The striker has been quoted saying as relayed by L’Equipe from the report, “I love this club, its fans and the city. I see myself staying here again some time.”

Real Madrid interested in Alexis Sanchez:

According to reports from Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez. The report states that the Galacticos are already searching replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo who could leave the club next summer.

Alexis-Sanchez

Moving for Sanchez makes sense for Real given that the Chilean has experience playing in the La Liga. Arsenal though wouldn’t let go the player at any cost but the prospect of playing for Madrid would be enticing to any player in this world.

It is believed that the promise of challenging for major honours at the Bernabeu could force Sanchez to leave London for Madrid. Real also believe that they would have the upper hand if and when they move for Sanchez as they believe that Arsenal’s inability to challenge for honours regularly could have an impact on Sanchez to make a move away from the Emirates outfit.
