It’s not exactly a lazy Sunday on the transfer front, as there’s a nice amount of transfer news and rumors to report on from around Europe.

England
Sunderland Sign Campbell
Sunderland have signed Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell. The deal is worth £3.5m initially, but it could rise to £6m with incentives. (Daily Mail)
Analysis: Well that brings an end to a saga that drug out a little bit longer than it should’ve. Now, is there any end in sight for their pursuit of Darren Bent?
Emana Interests Bolton
Bolton are interested in Real Betis midfielder Achille Emana. (The Mirror)
Analysis: They might have to up an initial bid, unless Betis have backed off of their original asking price of €10m. That’s not exactly out of their budget, as shown last summer’s purchase of Johan Elmander and their pursuit of Miguel Veloso. The addition of someone who can find the net and set up opportunities for others on a regular basis like Emana (11 goals, 7 assists last season for Betis) could make Bolton a pretty dangerous side all around next season, especially if Elmander can find his form in his second season at the Reebok.
Spain
Real Interested In D’Agostino
Real Madrid could be set for a move for Udinese star Gaetano D’Agostino. (Sky Sports)
Analysis: See, this is what breakout seasons can do for you. D’Agostino had the best season of his career (11 goals, 11 assists in all competitions), and though he missed out on a move to Juventus, he could be set for the contract of his dreams and a chance to suit up alongside some of the game’s biggest names.
Hopefully Udinese have some plans as to what they’re going to do with the money they get for him and what they already got from the sale of Fabio Quagliarella. The big money is nice, but it’s going to be a tall task to replace the impact those two made, and if they don’t make the right moves, they’ll miss out on Europe again.
Italy
Milan To Step Up Fabiano Pursuit
AC Milan veep Adriano Galliani is set to fly to Spain next week to iron out a deal for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano. Sevilla reportedly want €20m for the Brazil international, and €4m worth of bonuses could also be inserted into any deal. (Goal.com)
Analysis: That’s a little less than what I’d expected him to go for, but either way, Sevilla will make a solid profit off of the sale after getting him for €8m from Porto in 2005.
Germany
Hoffenheim Target Lewandowski
Hoffenheim are after Lech Poznan striker Robert Lewandowski. The 20-year-old has three goals in nine caps for Poland, was the third-leading scorer in the Polish top flight last season with 14 goals. (Transfer Market Web)
Analysis: Demba Ba‘s move to VfB Stuttgart broke down, but that doesn’t rule out him leaving this summer. Adding another goal-getter would allow them to not be in a pinch like they were when Vedad Ibisevic went down. Besides, it may be only a matter of time before both leave, so this would also be a move with the future in mind.
France
Lyon Land Lopez
Lyon have completed the €24m signing of FC Porto striker Lisandro Lopez. Porto could pocket an extra €4m in bonuses based on results. (Goal.com)
Analysis: Their previous record signing just got shipped off to Galatasaray after two unsuccessful seasons for half of what Lyon paid for him, but I don’t think Lopez will meet that same fate.
M’Bia Set For Marseille
Everton and Stoke City are set to miss out on Rennes midfielder Stephane M’Bia, as the Cameroonian has agreed a deal with Marseille. (Sky Sports)
Analysis: No surprise here. Everton were after him back to last summer, but Marseille came in and dangled their Champions League football and Didier Deschamps, and M’Bia took the bait.
Bordeaux Target Silvestre
Bordeaux are targeting Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre. (The Mirror)
Analysis: He may not figure too much into Arsene Wenger’s plans next season, so a move to Bordeaux could be an appealing move if regular first-team football is on offer.
