Stoke City scored early but Arsenal would come back with three unanswered goals to get the win. The bigger story in the match was the horrific injury Aaron Ramsey suffered after a tackle from Ryan Shawcross.
The score was 1-1 by halftime as Stoke scored early on a long throw-in headed in by Pugh and Arsenal responded with a header from Bendnter. The second half is when the injury happened. Arsenal would eventually get two goals late as Fabregas converted a penalty kick and Vermaelen scored the next one.
