Chelsea fans probably are over excited with the prospect of Cesc Fabregas joining them in the summer. In all already assembled star-dust at Stamford Bridge, getting Fabregas will be a fig feather in the cap of Jose Mourinho.

The Times reported today that Chelsea have already lodged a formal offer for Fabregas, though the club are yet to conclude personal agreements.

Barcelona have made it clear to Fabregas that the formal Arsenal midfielder have no future at the Catalan club and that he must find a new employer. While Barcelona board members, and may be a section of fans are happy to see him go, fellow team-mate, mind his future is also under speculation, Pedro Rodriquez is certainly feeling bitter about it.

Chelsea’s Spanish duo Fernando Torres and Cesar Azpilicueta have spoken about their wishes to see a world class midfielder like Fabregas joining the Blues, Pedro feels it will be a pity and a shame for Barcelona, should they allow such move to happen.

He said as quoted in the Spanish newspaper Marca: “Cesc is a great player and has performed well for us. I do not understand at all (about the move). He is happy and focussed and I’ve not talked to him. It will be a shame for the club if he joins Azpilicueta. It will be pity.”

Pedro also commented on his own future as well. Last month Spanish media RAC 1 reported that Pedro has had significant offers from several Premier clubs, while The Guardian said last month Liverpool are looking to prise away the Spaniard.
