German midfielder Sami Khedira has endured a turbulent week at Real Madrid. First he was injured during the Madrid derby in which Atletico thrashed Real by a 4-0 scoreline at the Vicente Calderon.
Secondly there are intense speculations over his future at the Spanish capital after there were reports (by German outlet Bild) which accused him of getting drunk at Cristiano Ronaldo’s birthday party.
TMW have however reported that Khedira has dismissed all such allegations and MARCA too have claimed that the German World Cup winner left the party bash at half past one in the morning after he had dropped by at dinner.
The 27 year old is undergoing his treatment under the head of medical services of German Federation straight after the Madrid derby. TMW have also quoted the player, distancing himself from reports which claimed that he has an agreement to join Bayern Munich in the summer.
Khedira said, “If Cristiano invites me, it is a sign of respect to go. It was not a party, just a dinner between friends. I did not drink alcohol and 1: 30 I was at home. I have no agreement with any Bundesliga club. My future should be decided yet, I have many options open. “
Khedira has hardly featured for Real this season and the arrival of Lucas Silva from Cruzeiro in January has put his future under scrutiny. ESPN have quoted radio show El Larguero that some senior figures at the Bernabeu are less impressed and have decided that Khedira will only start a game for the club again “in an emergency.
Khedira was linked heavily with Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer but stayed put at the Galacticos but things have changed drastically and it’s anybody’s guess where the player will pursue his career next.
