Manchester United manager David Moyes has hinted that the Red Devils might not do any business at all in the January transfer window.

The Old Trafford giants have made a poor start to the season and are lying 7th in the table, 11 points behind league leaders Arsenal. The general consensus among the fans is that Manchester United need to bolster the squad in the winter, but it seems Moyes has other ideas.

Already, this week he has said that he cannot guarantee whether Wayne Rooney will commit his future at the club, should they miss out on top four, and now he insists that he might not do any business in the winter transfer window at all.

When asked if he would be making any signings, Moyes said: “I don’t think so. I think most of the business will be more towards the summer rather than January.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger might delve into the transfer market to sign one good striker. Though the Frenchman didn’t say openly, but he has hinted that the Gunners could be forced to enter into the market, after injuries to Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner.

“With Theo, he has a knee problem,” he went on, “We don’t know if it is a stretched ligament or just a kick, he got two kicks onto his knee.

“Of course if we lose Theo for a longer period, it is a problem.”

He added: “I am waiting to see now who walks out there and knocks at the door, waiting to come in, but honestly, do we find better than the players that we have got?”

Theo Walcott got injured yesterday and was stretchered off against Spurs in the 3rd round of the FA Cup tie. It will be interesting to see, whether Arsenal buy a new striker in the winter or not.
